Evan Lovette has a B.A in History and an M.A. in Psychology with an emphasis in Marital and Family Therapy. He has worked various roles as a content writer and a counselor, just to name a few. With a background in both history and psychology, Evan’s favorite thing about teaching is being able to help students understand the larger implications of what is being learned. English is usually taught as exactly what it is, English. But what about its historical context? And what about those common themes that keep popping up? A piece of literature can be seen as a product of the psychological patterns that manifest during a specific period of time due to that era’s sociological implications.
With a passion for academia (especially ancient history), Evan is eager to ignite enthusiasm and passion into students and get them just as excited as he is to connect dots and learn about the world within a broader context.
In his free time, Evan likes to spend time with his amazing wife and young mischievous son. You might catch him jamming on the guitar and playing video games of all kinds. He also spends time with his cats, Vegas and April.
