Clare Reiland

Clare is excited to be a part of the Fusion Mission Viejo Family!

She grew up in Irvine and spent her youth and teenage years playing and coaching basketball at the Irvine Boys and Girls Club, which is where her passion for working with children started. After graduating high school, she moved to the Bay Area and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from Santa Clara University. During her undergrad years, she worked and volunteered for local schools and nonprofits in San Jose, teaching and mentoring students in grades ranging from Preschool to High School. Clare then decided to continue her education with a Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of San Francisco. During this time, she subbed in San Francisco Unified and taught newcomer and English learner middle schoolers. After her time away, she decided it was time to move back to Orange County to be closer to family, which is what brought her to Fusion! She is so excited to bring and share her love for English and History to her classroom at Fusion MV!

In addition to teaching, Clare loves hanging out at the beach, reading, attending sporting events (baseball, basketball, and hockey!), watching (too much) reality TV, listening to podcasts, and taking her dog on hikes around the Back Bay!
