Nasim Mahomar

Nasim Mahomar graduated from Ohio University in 2016 with a BSc in Wildlife and Conservation Biology. Most of their knowledge was acquired listening to the birds and learning from mentors in their field to become a field biologist specialized in wetlands, including the Florida subtropical ecosystem.

They began their career as a field biologist with consulting companies since the age of 17 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Since then, they have done an array of fieldwork in the United States from tracking imperiled bird species around Florida for conservation to co-directing the Cape Florida Banding Station in Miami. Here they have had the opportunity to mentor many students into their STEM careers in the diverse field of Biology.
