Jessie Young mentors and teaches literature and history. She attained a Bachelor’s in Literature and Education in Florida International University and graduated magna cum laude. Ms. Young has worked with students from 5-17 years old in various contexts. She has worked as a substitute teacher in public and charter schools. She was a camp coordinator, consistently communicating with parents to ensure maximum student wellbeing and progress in a diverse setting with students of various backgrounds and special needs. She also worked as a cultural ambassador, teaching English as a second language for two years in Japan. In her free time, Jessie loves reading and writing stories and poems. She also enjoys spending time at the beach, in the movie theater, and in arcades as well as attending music shows with her friends. Ms. Young has always loved horror movies because they help prevent her from having nightmares. She also has a twin sister named Julia.
