Education
Janel is the product of a real New York City education. From her first days in kindergarten to her last at City College, her schooling centered on the island of Manhattan! She even majored in Art at our nearby LaGuardia, which she credits for fostering her love of promoting the arts in education--and which drew her to Fusion.
Experience
Janel has had years of experience in administration. Most recently for the Archdiocese of New York. Before then she worked as a nanny for two children (from two different families who are both now grown and whom she proudly counts among her friends) and taught Sunday School to tweens and teens.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Janel is the published author of fiction and non-fiction for both children and adults.
- A fine artist, her favorite thing to do on weekends these days is to experiment with painting styles.
- She has an identical twin sister who can sometimes be found on the Upper West Side as well.
