Education

Elma earned her B.S in Finance with a concentration in Financial and Urban Economics and B.A in Literature from CUNY Baruch College. She wrote her thesis exploring the relationship between migration and economic development in developing South Asian countries. She is currently enrolled in CUNY Hunter's Graduate School pursuing her M.Ed in Adolescent Special Education (7-12).

Experience

Before Fusion, Elma worked in Private Equity in NYC & tutor for CUNY. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she credits her career switch into education to her parents, the NYC public schools she grew up in and Billy, the MTA bus driver who drove the b16 line she had to take everyday in high school.
