Education
Aminata graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She earned her dual-certification Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education and Childhood Special Education with a double minor in Global and Urban Education Studies and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies (CAMS).
Experience
As a Bronx native, Aminata brings a passion for education, justice as well as youth and community development. As Director of Student Services, Aminata focuses on providing ongoing academic planning and scheduling for students while consistently ensuring each Fusion student has a life-changing experience.
During her early career, Aminata served as a Community Engagement Liaison at the NYC Department of Social Services where she partnered with community-based organizations to expand access to public assistance benefits and supported large-scale initiatives. Most recently, Aminata served as Program Director at a Sunday School where she managed school operations including student enrollment, event scheduling, program logistics and resource procurement to ensure mission-aligned execution. While in the role, Aminata increased K-12 enrollment from 106 to 180 students and launched two new classes in less than 2 years.

- Aminata loves traveling, playing board games and staying active with a specific interest in biking through NYC on Citi Bikes.
- Aminata’s favorite childhood movies are Matilda and Home Alone.
- Aminata is a loving aunt to 9 nieces and nephews.
