Sue joined Fusion Loudoun as a Substitute Teacher-Mentor. She attended Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont and was certified as an Elementary Education Teacher; later earning a Master’s in Education at the University of Vermont in Special Education. Sue’s 40 year career has challenged her to work with a diverse population of students teaching classes from Early Intervention through High School. Her experiences as a foster parent for children with intensive educational needs was also an invaluable part of her education. She taught at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind teaching students braille and skills of daily living; later appointed as the principal of the School for the Blind. Sue enjoys everything nature: riding her bike, photography, gardening, and exploring new places. As a kitchen scientist, she enjoys time creating healthy options such as kombucha, kefir, black bean brownies, and a variety of vegetarian dishes.
