Leanne has an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, where she was in the English Honors program and elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master's degree in Writing from Boston University, where she was awarded a teaching fellowship. Also, in the past few years, she has completed the basic training course for the Tribes cooperative learning method and a training in Teaching Mindfulness to Teens through the Center for Adolescent Studies (CAS). Most recently, she has become certified as a Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator through Mindful Leader.
Leanne has taught reading and writing to children and young adults for over 25 years. She has been a composition instructor for teens and adults at the Keller Graduate School of Management, ITT Tech, and Northern Virginia Community College.
