James McCabe

STEM Department Head & Science and Math Teacher/Mentor

James was born and raised in Bucks County, PA and joined Fusion Loudoun as a math and science teacher after teaching in Philadelphia. He graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2013. James went back to Temple in 2016 to earn a Master of Education degree, specializing in middle grades math and science. James has been working with youth since 2007, when he joined the summer camp staff at Ockanickon Scout Reservation in Bucks County, PA. James is passionate about providing the tools and resources today’s young people need to be successful in their futures.

James recently bought a home in Harpers Ferry, WV and adopted a dog named Gus! James loves to get outdoors as often as he can. He enjoys camping, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, canoeing, waterskiing, swimming, SCUBA diving, and sailing. When going outside is not an option, James likes to spend his time watching science programs and documentaries.
