Tara Ford

Teacher / Mentor & Learning Specialist

Tara is excited to join the Fusion team as teacher/mentor and Learning Specialist. She teaches Yoga, Life Skills, Study Skills, Art, and Health as well as suggests recommendations for teachers based on parent and teacher feedback plus the intake process at Fusion.

She has been an artist and practiced yoga/meditation in some form or another for 20+ years. These practices have transformed her life and sparked a joy for teaching. There is nothing she loves more than to guide teachers and students toward finding the most effective learning resources for each student’s unique learning profile.

Tara holds an MFA in Transformative Arts and a BA in Humanities. She is a registered yoga teacher and has completed a teen yoga teacher training. Additionally, Tara was the Learning Specialist in 2016/2017 at Gateway School in Santa Cruz. Prior to this she was a tutor, curriculum consultant, and manager at The Reading Clinic in Saratoga from 2012-2016 where she was trained in how to identify learning differences, meet the student where they are at, and slowly build skills so that the student can learn to thrive at school and in life.

When Tara is not at Fusion, she loves to practice yoga, go for long walks, and make healthy, delicious food.
