Alexandra Butler-Auld finds joy in teaching English at Fusion Academy in Los Gatos. She earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Linguistics from Calvin University and a master’s degree in Teaching of English as a Second Language from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was awarded the Peter Strevens Award for Academic Excellence. She taught EFL in Hong Kong, ESL in higher ed and as a volunteer, and life skills for adults with disabilities. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys training her Australian Shepherd, traveling with her family, and learning new languages. In 2016, she hiked El Camino de Santiago from Burgos to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
