After graduation, he realized he needed a change of scenery and decided to accept an English language teaching position in South Korea. Seven years and buckets of bibimbap later, Oscar decided to return to the United States to earn his MAT-TESOL and spent a year and a half working with predominantly underprivileged, adult English language learners at Escondido Adult School. Oscar is in love with cinema and all of its possibilities, and greatly enjoys film criticism. Oscar also loves food, of all kinds, all the time, which is a large reason why he also loves to travel. But most of all, he loves to watch Netflix with his husband as their dog sleeps at their feet.
