Education

Virginia Bulacio (Vivi) is a Spanish, Photography Teacher and Mentor at Fusion. Virginia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a Minor in Spanish-Language Journalism. Her work includes print, radio, and multimedia stories for publications such as La Opinión and impreMedia.

Experience

After participating in summer camp programs and working with young kids, she decided to pursue a career in teaching and joined Fusion to work in a one-to-one setting, which she really enjoys. In both Spanish and photography classes, she loves helping students find their passion. She also enjoys participating in the Student Ambassador meetings on campus to help students become involved in their community.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • She participated in a week-long conference held in New York City, in partnership with the United Nation’s Working Group on Girls (WGG) , an NGO committed to working for girls, with girls, at the United Nations.
  • During Christmas season, Vivi runs a today drive called Magico to give toys to hundres of children in communities around Los Angeles.
  • Vivi enjoys hiking or visiting the beach to take photos of the sunset and read poetry.
