Director of First Impressions
Howard Kim received his Associate Degree at Pasadena City College with a major in Communications. He received his Bachelor's Degree from California State University Los Angeles majoring in Sociology and graduated with honors (cum laude).
Howard's first experience in education was being an extended class teacher at a private school, Challenger, in Palo Alto, CA. He also volunteered in 2018 as an English teacher overseas in Iraq for the Yazidi people in the Kurdish region of Iraq. The Yazidi people were freed from ISIS in 2014 after they launched a genocide. Right before joining Fusion Academy, Howard was a Lead Mentor for CollegeSpring, a non-profit that reduces the inequity for students from low income backgrounds by providing a mentoring program for the SAT, ACT, and college preparation to ensure higher education.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Started a 501(c)(3) non-profit partnering with an orphanage in Mexico
- Used to be a partner for a clothing company making clothing for famous artists in the music industry
- Enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, snowboarding, golf, biking... and also likes movies
