Education

Catherine earned her bachelor’s degree in American Literature and Culture from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Reading in 2017 at California State University, Los Angeles.

Experience

Catherine has been working in education in multiple capacities for about 15 years now, previously specializing in the remediation of reading fluency and comprehension. She was also a Behavior Intervention Specialist for about 3 years and implemented ABA, Floor time, and Functional Communication Training for students on the Autism Spectrum in South L.A. She started her Fusion journey at the Pasadena campus, teaching Humanities and was their Special Ed Lead. In 2018, Catherine transitioned to the Miracle Mile campus as the Director of Homework Cafe, then became Master Teacher in the summer of 2021.

  • Loves to travel at any opportunity!
  • Enjoys spending time with her husband (and cat) keeping up with the latest shows and movies.
  • Once awarded the "Golden Apple Award" for teaching excellence while at CSULA.
