Education

Rosellen graduated from Adelphi University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science/History. She was proud to do this in three years and graduate at the age of twenty! After working a few years in the financial services industry in New York City, she attended St. John’s University School of Law and received her juris doctor degree.

Experience

Before joining Fusion in 2015, Rosellen tutored junior and high school students in her favorite subject – history – for many years. She worked with students struggling with their NYS Regents exams and AP exams and showed them how to have success. She began her career at Fusion as a history teacher, and after a few years was given the opportunity to be the department head of the History and Language department. She enjoys helping new teachers with the curriculum and systems at Fusion. In addition, she loves the challenge of teaching new courses and writing curriculum for new electives such as “The History of Genocide” and “The History of World Religions”. Outside of Fusion, she spends time with her husband and three grown children. She loves to incorporate history into her travel plans and has seen some really cool places like Pompeii, the beaches of D-Day in Normandy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and many of the U.S. National Parks. She is also a big U2 fan.
