Dana Troffa is a history teacher and mentor at Fusion Academy. She has earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, Social Studies at SUNY Old Westbury. Currently, she is working to complete her Masters of Science in Adolescent Education Social Studies at SUNY Old Westbury.
Dana has worked in the field of education for the past ten years. Immediately after graduating , she worked for three years at a charter school in Brooklyn where she taught history for grades 9-12. Dana then moved on to teach 8th grade social studies for 4 years in the NYC Department of Education before teaching 7th grade social studies for two years in the Hempstead School District. Now, Dana is excited to teach at the Fusion Academy!
When Dana is not working, she enjoys cooking healthy and creative meals for her husband and family and spending time outdoors exercising and running. She also likes to put her creativity into acrylic paintings (mostly of flowers and landscapes).
