Alison is an English teacher at Fusion. She graduated from CUNY-Queens with an M.A. in English Literature. She also holds B.A.s from CUNY-Hunter in English and Seton Hall University in Communications and Film Studies. Her Master’s thesis entitled “Old Age as Disability in Neil Gaiman’s American Gods” has been submitted for publication review. Before working at Fusion Alison worked as a committee member for the Graduate English Conference at Queens College, which showcases some of the best graduate papers and presentations throughout the region. What really excites Alison about her job is the free flow of ideas and reactions to literature and how literature is a living, breathing art that changes over time.
Other than teaching, Alison loves to read and watch movies. She also likes to play video games. From time to time she will jump into a DJ set (she used to be a radio DJ) and she loves to collaborate with her husband on his various music projects.
