Rebecca graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in English and Art History.

Experience

Right after college, Rebecca knew she wanted to travel and work with teens, so she took a teaching position at a private school just outside of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Two years later, she knew she wanted to pursue the field of education, so she moved to New York City and got her Masters Degree in the Teaching of English at Teachers College, Columbia University. Rebecca went on to teach at a public K-12 school in Lower Manhattan for 8 years. Throughout that time, she was a Department Chair, Grade Team leader, participant on professional development and curriculum-building committees, and an advisor for the school newspaper and the Student Government, respectively.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • In her free time, Rebecca loves to read any book she can get her hands on
  • Rebecca also enjoys playing soccer, baking, and traveling
  • She daydreams about one day having a cat
