Education

Tarren received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology from the University of Michigan and completed her Masters in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston.

Experience

Tarren Everette is passionate about providing equitable education to all students. She believes it is her purpose to do the important work of closing the achievement gap and assisting those in need. Upon graduating from the University of Michigan with her B.A. in Child Psychology, Tarren landed a teaching fellowship with an education organization known as Citizens Schools. During her time with C.S., she developed state-wide curriculum for taught apprenticeship courses, organized various fundraising events, and recorded and analyzed state data.

Two years later, she was promoted to Campus Director where she was given the opportunity to pilot the first extended learning program at a local middle school. Tarren trained and hired her teaching staff to begin the program. Ms. Everette led sessions in Instructional Strategies, Behavior Management, and Lesson Plan Development. After two years of successful program data, Tarren was drawn back to the classroom and began teaching in the Alief School District where she is taught and served as the Science Lead Specialist for four years, and at KIPP Charter schools for one year. After teaching for a year at Fusion Academy Galleria, Tarren has decided to serve as Assistant Director at the Fusion Academy Woodlands campus and has now returned to Fusion Academy Galleria. In December of 2017, Tarren Everette completed her Masters in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston.
