About the Presenter
Dr. Sonya Wakil is a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She provides both individual and family therapy. With over 20 years experience, Dr. Wakil has guided children, adolescents, adults, and families toward self-betterment utilizing a team-based approach focusing on biological, developmental, psychological, cognitive and social factors. She takes pride in providing a comprehensive understanding of the issues being presented and communicates relevant diagnoses in a collaborated fashion. Dr. Wakil takes a multifaceted approach to provide a well-rounded treatment plan with foundational pillars of care (medication as needed, medical specialists, therapies, academic and supportive resources, alternative treatments, etc.).
