Stephanie Gervasi

Humanities Teacher Mentor

Stephanie teaches history and English at Fusion Academy Fairfield. She graduated magna cum laude from Siena College in Loudonville, NY, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Education and Spanish, and went on to earn her Master of Arts in English Education from SUNY Albany, graduating summa cum laude. She spent ten years teaching middle school and high school English in New York, teaching every grade from 6th through 12th throughout her tenure, and truly loved the challenges and rewards of teaching children as young as 11 and as old as 18.

After moving back to her home state of Connecticut, Stephanie began working as a high school mentor and academic coach for Horizons, an outreach program for underserved youth in Bridgeport, CT. She volunteers at her children’s schools whenever possible, and loves cheering them on in the various sports they play. She reads fervently and loves to cook, frequently hosting “it’s not a party” get-togethers for neighbors and friends for any or no reason at all.
