Education
Mika earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Clark University, with a minor in Math. She went on to get her Master of Science in Education, with a concentration in Secondary Mathematics at the University of Bridgeport. She is currently attending the seminary and going for a doctorate degree in ministry.
Experience
Mika has 12 years of teaching experience for students in grades 3-12, along with 6 years as a community pastor. She has taught primarily mathematics, along with Earth Science and Introductory Spanish.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Was not always a fan of math in school but exceled after a string of amazing teachers
- Has four kids, all in school this year, and a hubby that works at Trader Joes
- Loves mentoring young people and supporting women empowerment
