Michelle spent a year as a federal AmeriCorps volunteer in rural Washington state supporting youth in the community with music, art, sustainability, mindfulness, yoga and wellness programming to the K-12 schools and community overall in partnership with the health department and wellness coalitions throughout the PNW. She is passionate about health policy and ACES and loves to use the wisdom of yoga and whole mind body wellness to promote resilience.

Michelle loves nature and being connected with the earth. Her favorite activities are hiking, going walking at the beach, exploring in the forest and noticing all the beautiful animals and treasures along the way, baking, cooking nourishing foods, making collages, hanging out with her niece and relaxing with her two kittens. Her go-to unique fact is that her eyes change colors – sometimes they are green and sometimes brown depending on the weather, what color she is wearing, and even just her mood!
