Carla Bravo

Spanish Teacher/Mentor

Carla is a Spanish teacher at Fusion Academy. She started her educational career by teaching preschool. It was her passion for teaching and making a difference in students’ lives that motivated her to pursue a greater challenge and teach at the high school level. Carla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from University of Bridgeport and a Master’s degree in Spanish for Secondary Education from Sacred Heart University. Carla also obtained a certificate in acting from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in NYC and a certificate in Zumba.

Carla was a volunteer at Malta house, a shelter in Norwalk, where she assisted teenage mothers with Spanish translation. She also volunteered at Family Reentry, an organization where she was a mentor for teens dealing with different types of emotional and social issues.

During her free time Carla loves attending pilates, reading, baking, dancing and traveling to unique and interesting places. Carla is also an animal lover and she owns two exotic Peruvian hairless dogs: Tumi and Pisco.
