Education

Nell graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature and a French minor. She's been studying Japanese since her Freshman year of high school and studied abroad in Niigata, Japan the semester before college. While in college, she worked at the Spurlock Museum writing descriptions of the artifacts going on display. Shortly after graduating from U of I, she received her teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) certification.

Experience

After receiving her TEFL Certification, she taught English as a volunteer with the Vietnamese Association of Illinois, teaching non-native English speakers of all ages and helping them prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Test.

  • Obsessed with her Fur-Baby, a pomeranian-eskimo mix puppy named Maeby
