Jake Rohde


Bachelor of Social Work


Jake is a teacher and lifelong Evanstonian who continues to learn and grow from the community that raised him. After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Social Work, Jake returned to Evanston to teach life skills and wellness at Center For Independent Futures and serve as the Head Coach for the Freshman Football Team at Evanston Township High School. He also led training sessions around the Chicagoland area sharing his unique professional experience with other organizations.


Jake brings over 10 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, coaching, and listening to Fusion Academy, and has worked with students of all backgrounds and ability levels. In addition to supporting Evanston professionally, Jake served on non-profit boards including the Warren Cherry Scholarship Fund and the Center for Independent Futures Auxiliary Board.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • When not at Fusion, Jake loves to travel and manages to visit a new international and domestic destination every year. He dreams to travel around the world one day and immerse himself in new cultures, food, art, sports, and experiences. If you happen to catch him wandering around Evanston with a camera and a curious look on his face, make sure to say hi!
