Education

Annie obtained her Bachelors of Science in Education at Loyola University Chicago and focused her post-graduate study at DePaul University on the social and political implications of reverential language in US education. Annie attended University of Chicago for her certification to teach English Language Learners and her clinical instructor/teacher coaching training.

Experience

Annie worked as a teacher in Chicago schools focused on Spanish bilingual education, as well as social/emotional and physical health and wellness. After positions as an instructional lead and a clinical instructor for new teachers, she served as the Academic Coordinator for a residential step-down program for young adults aged 18-26.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Loves to travel - Turkey, Japan, and South Africa are favorite travels
  • Currently learning Arabic (very slowly)
  • Makes homemade ice cream and loves trying out interesting flavor combinations
