Vicky Browne, Head of School. Vicky has held administrative positions for 19 years in both academic and student support. Vicky's educational philosophy has always centered on removing barriers to learning and building an inclusive and respectful environment to foster student-centered excellence in education. Vicky has worked with students who learn differently for over twenty years. Starting at Berkshire College of Agriculture as Department Chair for Sport and Public Services, she focused on engaging and inspiring learners in and out of the classroom. She was writing a foundation degree, adapting and developing a curriculum before being promoted into the role of Advanced Practitioner, focusing on mentoring and supporting faculty within the classroom. After six years, she moved on to Farnham Sixth Form College, where she became the Head of Learning and Standards, overseeing academics, teaching, learner achievement retention, and enrollment. After eight years, Vicky moved into student support, becoming the Director of Tutoring and Safeguarding at Nescot College outside London. She was responsible for leadership across the school on student life and well-being and coordinating a whole school approach to student development.
After relocating to the USA with her spouse, Vicky became the Director of Student Life at Purnell, overseeing all student-related aspects of the school, including residential life. As a member of the Leadership Team, Vicky supported and delivered the school's vision by developing and implementing strategic initiatives and managing significant operational aspects.
Vicky received her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Postgraduate Teaching Certificate from Oxford Brookes, and Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. She also earned a Master of Education in Leadership and Management from Chichester University. Vicky has represented England in Field Hockey, played Division 1 in the USA, National League in England, and coached for over 30 years, winning two National Championships back to back before relocating to the USA.
Vicky loves all sports, travel, music, and zoom calls with the family back home. Vicky and her wife Jen spend their free time running after their two boys Matthew (4yrs) and Ryan (1.7yrs), picking up trucks, lego, and splashing in puddles.
