Whitney McCabe

Teacher/Mentor

Whitney McCabe is an ELA instructor and mentor at Fusion Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English Education at the University of Central Oklahoma. Whitney began teaching high school English Language Arts classes in Oklahoma City immediately after graduating college. After 4 years, she packed up and moved to Denver for new and different opportunities! Prior to joining Fusion, Whitney taught 6th-12th grade ELA for 10 years in Denver Public Schools.

Home will always be in Oklahoma, as that’s where most of her friends and family live, but she has established her life in Colorado since 2010 because the weather, activities, and scenery just can’t be beat! Whitney loves to travel and has taken many solo trips, including a 12-day European tour of 10 countries! During her free time, Whitney enjoys film, cooking, theatre, podcasts, reading, thrift shopping, camping, snuggling her pets, going on long walks, and sitting in her backyard hammock!

Fun Fact:  In 2014, Whitney moved to Ft. Worth, Texas and spent entire her summer working for a gubernatorial campaign!
