Director of First Impressions
Gina is a true born Texan, although she spent her childhood and teen years moving cities, states and schools with her family. She attended Dallas Baptist University to complete her undergraduate degree in Psychology and is currently enrolled at Amberton University to receive her Licensed Professional Counseling master’s degree. She has a passion for teaching and counseling, taking after her mother who taught children of all ages (including adults) for many years and her father who received his master’s degree in counseling and served as a chaplain for 15 years. She is proud of her Mexican heritage and discovering more about her roots every day.
She has served in the nonprofit sector overseas and in Dallas for 7+ years, developing kids and family programs of all kinds. Her life has taught her to value curiosity over certainty and to seek clarity over assumption. She is ecstatic to be part of the Fusion Dallas family!
Currently, she lives in W. Oak Cliff with her husband, Mimo, and their two boys, Antonio and Elias. She knows herself as a poet songwriter and enjoys being in nature and making others laugh.
Gina lives by the quote: “I have discovered that most people have no one to talk to, no one, that is, who really wants to listen. When it does at last dawn on a man that you really want to hear about his business, the look that comes over his face is something to see.” - Walker Percy
