Education
Annie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Science Education. She received her Masters of Science in Science Education from Texas Woman's University and her Masters of Science in School Counseling from Texas A & M Commerce.
Experience
Annie has spent her entire professional career as an educator. Prior to joining Fusion as Post-Secondary Counselor, she gained decades of experience working with students as a teacher, counselor, and Instructional Specialist in Richardson ISD. Annie is dedicated to assisting students increase awareness of their own strengths and abilities and how those connect to their interests. Whether with helping students navigate the college application process, discover their perfect gap year experience, or explore other options that align with their goals, Annie loves seeing her students gain the autonomy and confidence they need for post-secondary success.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Annie has a connection with animals and always has a houseful of furry babies to love.
- She has played the cello since the 5th grade and has always kept music as a focal point in her life.
- Early in her teaching career, Annie was selected as a STAR teacher research intern at UT Southwestern Medical Center and as a curriculum writer for the US Department of Energy’s Educational Program for the Superconducting Super Collider.
