Abby Garrett serves at the Assistant Director at Fusion Academy in Dallas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Art History from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In college, she was part of the National History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, and a co-founder of her campus’s historical society, Hilltop Historians. In her junior year, she studied abroad in Rome, Italy for six months where she completed an archaeological internship with John Cabot University and visited 9 different countries.
Abby has been a part of the Fusion family since 2017 previously working as the English and History Department Head/Teacher in Plano. Being a Fusion veteran, one of her favorite things is watching each student fall in love with learning. Before coming to Fusion, Abby was a tutor at St. Edwards University’s writing center where she helped other students excel in their study and writing skills.
In her free time Abby loves to travel, visit museums, read, paint, and spend time with her huge Italian family! She loves the outdoors and will take at least one impromptu camping trip a year. When traveling, she enjoys experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. If she could, she would spend most of her time traveling, researching, and becoming the next Indiana Jones!
