Nicholas was raised on the west coast, living in California and later Washington state. He loves learning about the world around him and chose to study science at BYU-Idaho, where he graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics.
He worked as an intern at Fermi National Laboratory, using radioactive sources for an experiment attempting to detect dark matter. During his schooling, Nicholas became a teaching assistant and tutor for various physics courses. This is when he realized he loves teaching, and he now wants to help his students become passionate about learning.
Music is one of his favorite pastimes, and is almost always listening to one of his playlists. He grew up playing the violin, and picked up the guitar in high school. In addition to music, he enjoys playing video games with his friends. Whenever he can, he loves spending time with his wife. Together they enjoy hiking with their dog.
