BA in English Literature and Writing, University of Illinios Urbana-Champaign; Teaching Certification (grades 6-12), DePaul University
Tina is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she earned dual degrees in English Literature and Writing. After working in public relations for several years, she returned to school and attended DePaul University to earn her teaching certification for middle and high school.
Tina taught English at a college prep high school in Chicago. She also served as the yearbook and newspaper advisor. Her proficiency in Spanish enabled her to integrate the language into lessons, often to teach and reinforce the rules of grammar in both English and Spanish. Prior to starting at Fusion, she tutored high school students and thoroughly enjoys working with students one-on-one.
