Education

Kara received her Bachelor's degree in History and Theater Arts and received her Master's degree in Performance as Public Practice from the University of Texas at Austin. She loves reading, theater/movies, traveling and running.

Experience

Kara has had a variety of teaching experiences from lecturing a hall of 500 students to teaching preschoolers drama in after-school programs. In the past year Kara has been teaching Humanities at Futures Academy. Previous to this she supported high school history at a public charter in Austin (Austin Achieve), developed and taught curriculum at the Blanton Museum of Art, and facilitated an afterschool drama program for elementary school children.
