Experience
Sean has been a STEM teacher/mentor at Fusion Academy Burlington since 2022. Before that, Sean studied mechanical engineering at the George Washington University in DC. While in college, Sean worked as a CRLA certified tutored at the GWU Academic Commons where he supported learners in a variety of engineering, physics, and math courses. In 2021, Sean was a STEM instructor at ID Tech Summer Camp where he led courses in Python coding, game design, and developing machine learning models. Sean’s experience as an educator extends outside of the traditional STEM classroom as well. He has taught tap dancing at the Morristown Neighborhood House and the GWU Balance Dance Organization. In 2019, Sean volunteered to bike across the country and teach bike safety workshops in many communities along the way. Sean has also enjoyed leading design drawing workshops at the GWU Innovation Center in 2022. Outside of teaching, Sean loves to play guitar, paint, explore prosthetic design, and watch How It’s Made and DIY YouTube videos.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Sean can tap dance! He started learning right after the first Happy Feet movie came out.
