James Williams

Humanities Teacher/Mentor

James was born and raised in Huntsville, Texas. After graduating from Brown University in 2010 he taught in St. Petersburg, Russia for two years. In 2014, he completed his Master’s in Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. His Master’s thesis was on natural resource management and corporate social responsibility in Africa. Before moving to Atlanta, James held a research appointment at the National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian.

In his free time James enjoys photography, hiking, soccer, reading, cycling, and cooking.

James enjoys teaching because it is incredibly rewarding to help students be their best, authentic self.
