Cindy Kochansky

Director of Student Development

Cindy began her career in corporate account management before earning her master’s degree in education (Ed.M.) from Boston University. Her career in education spans two decades, where she was a classroom teacher during most of this time. Discovering an interest in college admissions counseling when her oldest daughter was a senior in high school, Cindy became an education consultant working with students and families as they navigate through the college admissions process. Although no longer teaching, Cindy believes in continual professional development and maintains active professional teaching certification in high school, middle school, and elementary grades in Georgia.

Cindy lives with her family in suburban Atlanta. Her oldest daughter is a senior at the University of Southern California, and her youngest daughter is a recent high school graduate who will also be attending USC as a freshman beginning this fall. Fight On, Trojans! In her free time, Cindy enjoys traveling with her family and exploring new cities and countries around the world.

As the Director of Student Development at Fusion Academy’s Buckhead campus, Cindy’s experience as both a teacher and as a parent of young adults allows her to understand a student’s journey from all perspectives.
