Ben Davidow

Humanities Teacher/Mentor

Benjamin J. Davidow is a Teacher and Mentor at Fusion Academy. He came to Fusion with over a decade of experience in special education focused in social emotional learning. Davidow has long studied and practiced the Developmental, Individual-Differences, Relationship-based model otherwise known as DIR Floortime which is an intervention used to promote an individual’s development through a respectful, playful, joyful and engaging process. In addition to teaching, Davidow is a well versed administrator with experience in fundraising, marketing, partner relations, content generation and management, and much more.

Davidow has a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing for poetry from Georgia State University where he directly studied under award winning author, David Bottoms, former poet laureate of Georgia for 11 years. Furthermore, Davidow is an avid musician and a fixture of the Atlanta music scene as a professional recording artist, guitarist, and composer.

Davidow has a passion for helping others and is excited to bring his skills to the Fusion team. Outside of the classroom you can find him touring the southeast in his band, recording, traveling, hiking, spending time with his wife, newborn Ezra, and their dog Ziggy, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
