Andy Donohue

Assistant Director

Andy serves as the Assistant Director and Director of the Homework Café here at our Buckhead campus. He came to Buckhead after teaching at Fusion Miami in numerous fields including the Humanities, Business, Design and Leadership for two years. Growing up, Andy was always interested in so many things from sailing and swimming to writing and drawing, he just decided to try them all! Growing up in Boston, the son of two public school guidance counselors, he appreciates not only the importance of education but the needs of each student as an individual.

After attending both the University of Tampa and Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia for his B.A. in History & Education, Andy moved back to his hometown where he worked in education and counseling. Serving as the Assistant Educational coordinator, counselor and advocate at a DCF/DMH treatment facility as well as an ABA counselor at a residential school for students with autism he was able to teach, help and serve all different types of kids and populations. Following, he moved to Miami where he earned his Master’s in Landscape Architecture & Urban Design, melding his passions together to design inclusive learning parks and mindful city planning for those with disabilities through educational design via several projects and his thesis.

After working for a firm for almost a year, he missed being in the classroom and working with kids, so he found Fusion, or Fusion found him. Andy is passionate about making Fusion Buckhead the best school it can be, but today when he is not working or teaching he loves to learn more and explore his new home Atlanta, bike ride, kayak and continues to design on his own.
