Louise Cohen-Silver




Louise graduated from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida with a Master's degree in Deaf Education and then received her Ph.D. in Counseling from The American University in Washington, D.C.


Louise became a professional Fusionite at the Brooklyn campus in 2015 as both an ASL and homework cafe teacher/mentor and then the Director of Homework Cafe for two years. Currently Louise is a full time homework cafe teacher as well as a Life SKills, Wellness and ASL teacher/mentor.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Louise is a licensed Food for Life instructor through the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
  • Passionate about cooking delicious recipes without any oil, sugar or salt.
  • Always available to help with cat, dog and bird rescue.
