A nationally acclaimed expert practitioner of integrative holistic health, mind-body-spirit practices, fitness, nutrition and wellness. Suzanne graduated from Johnson & Wales University with degrees in Hospitality Management, Recreation Leisure Management and Hotel Restaurant Management along with attending Maryland University of Integrative Health where she completed courses towards her Master of Science and Health Promotion. She is registered by the Yoga Alliance, board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and holds extensive credentials and trainings in yoga, meditation, breath-work, Ayurveda, qi gong, tai chi, sound healing, aromatherapy, herbalism, culinary nutrition, health coaching and exercise physiology. Throughout her lifelong learning path, she traveled the world to expand her knowledge from luminaries, gurus, sages, masters and indigenous people to the most influential global leaders of natural health. All the wisdom traditions shared have been her grateful guiding light!


Suzanne Brownell began her passionate heart-centered career as a yoga teacher and personal trainer, working in health clubs, spa's and yoga studio's. To date, she has witness the transformational happiness and wellbeing of thousands of her students across all ages, abilities and health spectrums. In 1995 Suzanne founded Health Thyself® a private practice and partnership based holistic health and wellness company located in Massachusetts. Her dedicated leadership role paved the way in shifting the mindset paradigm within private schools, public county school districts, oncology clinical trial departments, municipalities, state and city parks, fortune five hundred companies, non-profits, conservancies and communities-at-large.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Planted a beautiful edible organic permaculture landscape around my home
  • Love spending time on the water kayaking and paddle boarding with my husband, family, friends and our precious border collie Joy...especially when the sun is rising!
  • Love making herbal tinctures, creating new healthy recipies and meditating at 4:30am
