Michele Rodriguez first joined Fusion Academy January of 2016 as the yoga and kickboxing teacher for the Englewood campus. She immediately fell in love with everything Fusion and knew she found her “tribe.” In September of 2016, Michele and her family moved to Florida. With the knowledge that Fusion would eventually open a few campuses in Florida, she could only hope that another Fusion campus would be located near her. Luckily for her, they were! Michele was officially a Fusionite once again May of 2018.
Michele earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English, with departmental honors and a minor in Spanish from Dominican College, in Blauvelt, New York. Being a full-time student and a mother to a toddler would prove to be a very challenging time in Michele’s life, which is how Michele found her love of yoga. Yoga was the tool she used to help keep her balanced when life seemed overwhelming. A free yoga class at her college one day turned into a 200HR teacher training program. Michele is trained in vinyasa, yin yoga and is a graduate of Connection Coalition’s, trauma-informed training. Yoga made such a profound impact on her life that she just wanted to share its benefits with others. Fusion allows Michele the space to teach today’s youth the benefits of mindfulness, body awareness and meditation. Her hope is to positively impact her students the way yoga has impacted hers.
In her free time, Michele loves to practice yoga, enhance her knowledge in yoga by continuing her education, read, paddle board and ride on her Kawasaki Ninja 400.
