Joe Mireles is thrilled to join the Fusion Academy family as a history teacher!

A South Florida native, Joe has had the privilege of serving students and families across the country for over fifteen years in South Florida and Southern California. Holding a master’s degree in education from California Baptist University and a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University, Joe has worked alongside students as a teacher, guidance counselor, college advisor, and mentor. He specializes in relating to students and helping them develop ownership over their learning. Having worked with students from academically and culturally diverse backgrounds, Joe has experienced the transformative power of education and maintains that every student has the capacity to reach their potential.

Joe and his wife, Millie, are blessed to be the humbled and tired parents of their boundlessly energetic daughter. When they aren’t stepping on LEGO blocks or singing songs from Frozen, Joe and Millie love playing golf, reading, and going camping.
