James A. Smith is an experienced educator and creative individual who utilizes his passion for music to connect and engage with all of his students, no matter their age or skill level. James takes pride in having a positive and patient attitude, and believes that every single person has the potential for success.
James earned his Bachelors of Science in Music Management in 2017 from Florida Southern College. He Became a certified Florida Educator in 2018, and in 2020 James passed the RBT assessment to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
Since 2018 James has been private music teacher, working 1:1 with a multitude of students all over the state through physical and virtual lessons, teaching them fundamentals of various instruments and music theory. He was most recently the Music Director for School of Rock in Palm Beach Gardens, where he was in charge of assigning songs to students and guiding them through how to play the music within a group. He also currently works with students with Special Needs, using music therapy to increase their social and cognitive abilities.
In his free time James enjoys exercising and doing yoga/meditation. His main passions include writing and recording new music, playing the latest video games and viewing new Movies/TV Shows.
