Education

Abby attended Boston University where she received a B.A. in Biological Anthropology with a minor in Classical Civilizations, B.A. in Archaeology, and a M.A. in Archaeology. Her master's thesis focused on the skeletal development of medieval British children during puberty. She also worked on a project attempting to discover astronomical alignments between archaeological specimens at a site in Peru.

Experience

Abby is new to teaching in a traditional sense, but she served as a degree advisor for the new students in the Archaeology Program at Boston University. Additionally, she taught financial literacy seminars to college students through Boston University's Financial Aid Department.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Spent two months on an archaeological dig site in Transylvania
  • Worked with a NASA Geographic Information Specialist (GIS) on a research project
  • Has a grey streak of hair at the back of her head due to a birthmark (matches Percy Jackson)
