George Waters IV
George is ecstatic to be joining the Fusion Berkeley campus as the new Campus Director! He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University, a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Phoenix online, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from American Intercontinental University Atlanta, GA, and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Northcentral University online. George began his teaching career in Clayton County Schools in the Metro Atlanta area as an Interrelated and Small Group Special Education teacher for grades 9 through 12. While working for Clayton County Schools he was tasked with many duties and was awarded many accolades. He was the Co-Department Chair, Chaired the GradFirst state initiative for his school all while maintaining high performances in his classroom and as an athletic coach of multiple sports. In 2014 he was awarded the top states awards for student achievement based on his students test scores. He was also apart of a state winning boys track and field team in that same year. In 2016 his girls track team placed 4th in state with 2 state champions in the high and triple jump. His high jumper went on to win 2 consecutive state titles before graduating. In 2019, George accepted a position in Dekalb County School System as a Lead Teacher of Special Education, where he oversaw 2 schools special education programs. He’s excited to bring his knowledge and experience to Fusion and intertwine them with the Fusion way.
In George’s spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and watching either murder mystery shows or sports. He is also an avid traveler and have visited countries in Africa and Europe. Many close to George will tell you he’s an avid CrossFitter and loves run.
