M. Ed. in Earth Science; B.A. in Geology
Lisa received a bachelors in Geology from Amherst College and a masters in teaching for Earth Science from the American Museum of Natural History.
She began her teaching experience by tutoring introductory geology students in college and by giving tours at her college's natural history museum. Fun fact: Amherst College has the largest collection of dinosaur tracks in the world! After some time, she discovered tutoring for the SAT and ACT and worked doing that for 7 years. Eventually, she went to graduate school for teaching Earth Science, in particular, and has worked as middle and high school classroom teacher since 2019.
